Cross Cultural Association of the Torrealta, in collaboration with the city of Molina de Segura, organizes once again the representation of the Living Stations of the Cross, which will take place on Holy Wednesday 31 March, from 23.00 pm in the Plaza Church of Our Lady of Remedies and the streets of the hamlet of Torrealta de Molina.
Passionate representation of Christ on Calvary road is made in the Holy Wednesday night for the twelfth time.
Fifty Torrealta neighbors go out in costumes from time to revive the fifteen stations that Jesus Christ had to travel from his condemnation to death and his resurrection.
In the assembly of the Cross of Torrealta is the inclusion of a fifteenth season, which is the Resurrection of Christ, along with the presence of antorcheros, that light the streets of the hamlet along the planned route, which includes the following channels: Plaza Church and Bishop streets Azagra Javier, Salvador Blanquer, Antonio Machado, La Mola, Bishop Javier Azagra, Alfred Nobel, Manuel de Falla, Garcia Lorca San Francisco, Plaza de la Cruz, and streets Isaac Albéniz and San Juan de Dios.
In addition, the Coral Municipal Hims Mola involved with his chorus of voices in various stages of representation.
In each of the stations a story connected to the Station itself and the present time living in society.
Throughout the two hours it takes about the show, this hamlet is lit only by the light given off by the torches that are shared among those attending the event.
The origins of this original Stations of the Cross goes back to 1982, being pastor and promoter of the project, José Moreno.
After the removal of the pastor, was left to represent, and it was in 1997 when a group of young, recalling his childhood, decided to recover this cultural event, unique among the peoples of the Region of Murcia.
In the Easter of 1998, the Via Crucis Torrealta de Molina begins his new journey.
