Medical Research Foundation of Molina de Segura (FEM) presented at a press conference today, Friday 30 October, the next conference of scientific (number 43), to be held in Molina de Segura (College auditorium Child Education Paseo Rosales) on Thursday November 5, 2009, at 20.00, with free entry, under the title of Obesity: A threat to health by doctors Juan Luján Mompeán, Head of Unit Obesity Surgery, University Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca of Murcia, Cuenca and José Ramón Sánchez, Head of Nutrition Unit of the Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca of Murcia.
The conference is organized by the WEF, the city of Molina de Segura and the Hospital de Molina, sponsored by the Caixa.
The presentation was made by Domingo Menchón Serna, Chief of the Emergency Hospital de Molina, and Josefina García Lozano, Secretary of the EMF.

Luján Mompeán a degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Murcia, Doctor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Murcia, Associate Professor of Surgical Pathology, University of Murcia and Head of the Unit of Laparoscopic Surgery, Colorectal and Obesity Surgery Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca of Murcia.
He has authored over 120 scientific articles published in journals with higher impact both domestic and from drawing.
He has written 8 book chapters on laparoscopic surgery, colorectal surgery for obesity.
He has directed 12 doctoral dissertations and 4 degrees.
Has developed more than 400 submissions to national and international conferences and has participated in numerous panel discussions on their areas of interest.
