The plenary session unanimously approved a motion yesterday Emergency Municipal Groups opposition PSOE and IU, with amendments of the PP in the same direction, to change the General Plan of Management and temporarily stop the implementation of the new assessed value.
The Plenary agreed to create a Special Study Commission to amend the General Plan 2006 in wide areas of the field and some districts affected by the changing nature of rural land to be developed.
This change implies that the affected areas now have a new assessed value of urban type, which means paying significantly more for the Property Tax.
The change of soil type imposed by the General Plan in 2006 has triggered protests among the nearly 5,000 affected, many of whom want to continue to devote their land to agriculture and conserving irrigation water rights that have to do so.
The PSOE considers it essential and necessary to defend and protect this fact.
Therefore, besides amending the General Plan and "paralyze" the new cadastral values, the study provides Motion approved tax measures, economic and social to promote agricultural and rural development Molina.
The PSOE is grateful for the presence and support of more than 200 residents of the districts of Campo de Molina (Campotéjar Baja and Alta, Fenazar, The Brave, The Romeral Comala, Huron, La Espada, the saddle) with which PSOE councilors Lola Ferre and Jose Oliva have been meeting for several weeks to find a solution before the deadline given by the Regional Office for Cadastre.
For the PSOE, the discomfort shown by thousands of people with the General Plan was a matter of time, since it was approved back to the general interests with little transparency.
