Note from PSOE:
Almost three years after the PSOE demanded the burial of the power line the Las Yesera, La Barceloneta and winds, to avoid risks to public health, the residents still live power line on their homes.
About 30 homes and nearly 100 people are affected by this line, with a possible impact and risks to people even more, because in some places, the proximity of the lines is worrying.
In other sections, the burial was made without trouble or cost to the neighbors.
The PSOE and in June 2006 requested the burial of the power lines, but the PP rejected.
The City is insensitive and not offer solutions to this problem, although in November 2007 passed a Motion of IU and PSOE amendment to develop a Plan amendment and underground power lines before April 2008, by the way, unknown.
The problem persists and the city still does not provide a solution without any proposal or specific date, although the neighbors are contributing through their taxes and their share of the work undertaken in the area.
The Socialist Party calls on the City Council to commit to this potential public health problem in the area and offer residents some good news after so many years waiting, running on an urgent basis the budget of 120,000 € exists for 2009.
