The Ministry of Health has doubled the area of the Primary Care Clinic of The Alcayna, parish of Molina de Segura, with the increasing population of the area in the last five years.
Following the expansion work, the center has increased its floor area of 371 square meters from a 830, and have the capacity to deliver health care to 10,500 people.
The Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, and Mayor Molina, Eduardo Contreras, today opened the office in which both governments have invested a total of 987,889 euros.
At the event, Palacios specified that the Ministry will provide 569,558 euros for the execution of works and equipment of the center.
Strengthening child care
The Minister of Health stressed that the office has a wide area of childcare and has among its services Child Care Program Sano, and that his department has taken into account that the population of Alcayna is composed mostly of young couples family growth forecast.
The center has five family medicine clinics, three of Pediatrics, five nursing visits, of which 2 are children, a room extractions and priests, and 10 modules waiting rooms.
It also has administrative offices and staff as other general services.
The clinic, located on Church Street s / n, belongs to the basic health area of Molina de Segura which is included in the Health Area VI of Vega del Segura-Eastern Region, and includes a data network for all The building which enables the use of computerized medical records and connecting it to other hospitals.
