In the 70's, in a not too receptive to the avant-garde, a private institution, the Gallery ZEN, it was proposed against all odds to be a reflection of this emerging art.
For several years, the Gallery ZEN allowed in Molina de Segura was exposed the work of authors who came to the fore in Spain, some of which have reached today an international reputation.
That effort did not survive beyond the 70.
Explains the Councillor of Culture, Mariola Martinez Robles, "is just that now, after almost three decades, and when Molina de Segura is experiencing a major cultural revival, it provides a fitting tribute to that effort not to be forgotten.
But this exhibition is not just an exercise in nostalgia: it also provides an important showcase of cutting-edge Spanish art in the 70's. "
