The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, accompanied by Mayor Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras, today inaugurated the new building of the Conservatory of Music "Maestro Jaime Lopez 'and the Municipal School of Music and Dance locally.
A new facility that covers the strong demand for places for arts education in the locality, which may include over 600 pupils and 26 teachers.
A total of 110 students attending the Conservatory, 490 to the Municipal School of Music and 100 to the Dance School.
In addition, this space will house various local musical groups such as the Municipal Band, String Orchestra and Municipal Hims Coral Municipal Mola Mola Hims.
The new Conservatory and the School of Music and Dance is located in Captain Cortes Street, the site of the former cannery Maximino Moreno del Barrio de El Castillo, which has invested 1,999,850 euros.
The building has a total built area of 2,175 square meters and a total floor space of 1,889 meters square, spread over three floors.
It has two multi-purpose rooms (100 square meters each), two dance classes (75 meters), a percussion room (70 meters), a computer room (30 meters), seven group classes (25 meters), three classes of camera (35 meters), 12 classrooms instrumental (15 meters), and 5 study rooms (8 square meters).
It also has a library, video library, music library, staff room, medical office and administration area, concierge, secretarial and coordination, and management offices, Head of Studies, local AMPA and Alumni Association.
The Conservatory has been named the school teacher and musician career, died in Molina de Segura at 93 years old last February, Jaime López Sánchez, who developed a commendable job throughout his long teaching career in the field of music.
This school teacher laid the foundations of the current School of Music and Conservatory of Molina de Segura.
