The Pilgrimage to the Holy IX and Vera Cruz, organized by the Friends of the Camino de la Vera Cruz de Molina de Segura and Senderista molinense Club, in collaboration with the Department of Sports City of Molina de Segura, DG Sports in the Region of Murcia and the towns of Bullas and Campos del Río, will start on Friday 18 April at 17.00, with the output from the parish church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Molina de Segura.
The whole route, a total of 68 kilometers, there will be building the so-called Northwest Greenway, which runs along the route of the old railway Murcia / Caravaca de la Cruz.
The first stage consists of 14 miles and finish in Campos del Río, where pilgrims will be accommodated in the Municipal Library.
The second stage, 32 km route will start at 08.00 am on Saturday, April 19 and will end in Bullas.
There, participants will be accommodated in the municipal hall of the College Sports Artero.
The third stage (22 km.) Will be held on Sunday April 20, departing at 0800 hours Bullas, Cehegín direction, and arrival at the Sanctuary of the Blessed and Vera Cruz in the Castillo de Caravaca de la Cruz, where Mass will be held at 13.00.
At 14.00 hours, made the trip back to Molina de Segura bus.
Registration is priced at 10 euros per person, which shall be paid out (including supplies of the 2 nd and 3 rd stage and bus back.)
In 1998, the Vatican Holy Year granted in perpetuity to Caravaca de la Cruz, almost eight centuries after they discovered the Holy and Vera Cruz, equating to the city of Murcia with other like Jerusalem, Rome or Santiago de Compostela.
