The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia, under the 'Protection Plan pets', has developed the operation' SHAR PEI has allowed dismantle an illegal breeding of dogs and cats in the town of Molina de Segura.
On the premises, they lacked the required approvals for the development of such commercial activity, they have been found in 114 dogs and 22 cats crowded and in poor sanitary conditions.
Meritorious initiated the investigation after the local police in Molina de Segura informed of the existence of a pet kennel, a priori, devoid of municipal activity license and zoological statement.
With this information, the Civil Guard has developed, in collaboration with the Veterinary Services of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water of the Region of Murcia and the City of Molina de Segura, inspection of the establishment.
The inspection has revealed that the property under investigation had numerous cages and unventilated worksite in which piled up to nine animals per cabin.
In addition, these areas lacked natural light, so that their walls were moldy by an alleged lack of proper cleaning and disinfection of feces and urine of animals.
The Civil Guard has located 114 dogs of various breeds shar pei, Siberian Husky, Rottweiller and French bulldog and 22 cats whose stay was inadequate both by the lack of sanitary conditions, as for its unsuitability for the upbringing and care of the different species and races, each of which requires a series of specific attention.
Operation 'SHAR PEI has culminated in the preparation of the minutes for violation of the Law 10/90 of February 1, Protection and Defense of Pets and Law 50/99 of 23 December on the Possession of Potentially Dangerous Animals.
The alleged violators could face severe penalties, being serious offenses under current regulations.
