"Research, methodology and management of files and noble family. The documentary heritage and legacy of the Marquis of Vélez" is the title of the course of the International University Campus Mar-Mare Nostrum to be held in the Centre rafts Molina de Segura from 21 to 24 July.
The course will attempt to offer students a specialized, theoretical and practical training on documentary heritage preserved in the nobility, heritage and family files, paying particular attention to the case of the Archives of Velez.
The heritage of the House of Velez is a reality for many municipalities of Murcia and Almeria, with a heritage that has castles of Velez Blanco and Mula, the funeral chapel of the Cathedral of Murcia or the Church of the Incarnation in Vélez Rubio.
To this we must add the documentary heritage, whose funds are of great importance for the history of Spanish Southeast.
This course aims to deepen the knowledge of this heritage legacy.
The course is led by professors at the University of Murcia: Sunday Beltran Corbalan and Fancisco Marsilla Pascual Reyes, both professors of Historiographic Sciences and Techniques, and Pedro Martinez Cavero, professor of Social Anthropology.
The activity has a duration of 25 hours, and those who enroll in it shall be entitled to 2.5 free elective credit or ECTS-credit CRAU.
