Last June 6, the City Commission for Assistance to people at risk of eviction, approved a proposal by the Socialist Councilman Angel Navarro developing a protocol for prevention and social care for people and families incursas eviction processes and launching his habitual residence.
As the socialist mayor said, "while it is true that we are developing actions that allow address certain situations of need related to the possible loss of housing, it is also that written protocols are required to systematize the practice of services rendered ".
At the same time, he urged the Department of Social Welfare to coordinate the efforts and activities of other participants Councillors such as housing and consumer.
The implementation of this protocol will allow to define the scope of municipal action in this area, to standardize the practice of intervention, facilitate decision-making, be a powerful source of information, and provide care for new members of staff and improve the quality of care provided by the departments involved.
The commission within three months gave the municipal technicians can present thereto a proposal -DRAFT- unifying interventions, objectives, procedures and municipal resources to systematise practice and improve responsiveness to citizens.
In the socialist councilor opinion, it will be one step closer to the declaration of the municipality as a city free of evictions.
