Molina de Segura, April 13, 2015. The creation of the concept of "neighborhood police" with the aim of making closer to the citizen police service and reduce the number of crimes, is one of the central proposals UPyD Molina de Segura incorporates in its electoral program for the next legislature.
This has been explained its candidate for mayor, Encarna Hernandez, who believes that "it is essential to provide greater security and assistance to citizens".
The units of local neighborhood police would do their work in a particular area of ​​the municipality (neighborhoods, districts and estates), and according to Hernandez, "the presence of agents would walk main tasks surveillance of parks, gardens, shops, malls school, work and assistance in traffic and helps neighbors that may be needed ".
UPyD candidate for the implementation of neighborhood police in many municipalities in Spain has been successful and has helped reduce the number of crimes and improve care and service they receive citizens, increasing safety and confidence citizenship in police work.
On the other hand, UPyD also bet on improving the safety of the agents themselves, providing them with protective equipment (body armor, etc.) sufficient and appropriate to the tasks they perform.
Hernández also explained that it must provide police cars mobile defibrillators, giving the necessary training to agents, since the local police are often the first to go to emergency situations.
