The Department of the Environment and Urban Municipality of Molina de Segura, on the occasion of the celebration of World Environment Day on 5 June, puts the finishing touch to some of the actions of the current 2013/14 that have been developed within LIFE/09/NAT/ES/000516 the project, Conservation Oxyura leucocephala (White-headed Duck) in the Region of Murcia.
The LIFE/09/NAT/ES/000516 Project is a European instrument for funding conservation initiatives and environmental protection in the City of Molina de Segura involved.
The inauguration of the Center for Information and Visitor Reception Las Lagunas de Campotéjar be the central act of commemoration will be held on Thursday, June 5, at 11.00.
This center is a major resource for the public and educational use within this natural area.
It will house information services, resources for the interpretation of the environmental values ​​of the wetland and host training and environmental education.
To mark the closing of the Environmental Education Course 2013/14, aimed at teaching centers will develop the following activities:
- Exhibition of Works Drawing Contest School The White-headed Duck: duck blue peak.
Location: Exhibition Hall Municipal Jail.
Hours: Monday to Friday from 17.00 to 21.00.
Blue-billed duck: - exposure concerted and parallel activities for schools participating in the Contest Drawing School Visits The White-headed Duck.
Date: 3rd, 4th and 5th June.

Location: Room of City Hall.
After the event there will be the Great Gymkhana activity Conservation Malvasia with class groups of children contest winners.
It will be from 11.30 to 13.00 hours in the Park Company.
As explained by the Councillor for the Environment and Urban, Juana Carrillo Muñoz, "this new information center and welcome visitors, along with the other actions for public and educational use conducted in The Lagoons Campotéjar, is an important resource to the knowledge of the values ​​of this wetland and the awareness of the population, essential for the proper management aspects in this natural space. "
Moreover, regarding the decommissioning activities of the Environmental Education Course 2013/14, the LIFE project, Juana Carrillo thanked "to schools participation and involvement in the dissemination of ecological, economic and cultural value of wetland of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar of Molina de Segura and protected birds, including the white-headed duck.
