The Plenary approved the motion unanimously Socialist Group that is allowed to allocate the municipal budget surplus to create jobs and address situations of social risk and economic precariousness of thousands of molinenses.
The Socialist Spokesman, Antonio Gomariz says that controlling the deficit can not be an objective in itself, and to do it at the expense of delaying or not meet the serious needs of thousands of molinenses is the biggest political mistake that can be committed.
As long as social, health, educational or cultural deficit, such high levels of unemployment, and so precarious for thousands of families, we can raise no other purpose than to cover those needs urgently
Now, the City should contact the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration to regulate how and also the House of Representatives, requesting the support of the parliamentary groups on Proposition of Law for boosting sustainable investment of local authorities submitted by the Socialist Group in February.
This proposition of law is intended that councils can allocate the budget surplus to revive the economy and create jobs through investments that support inclusive and stable growth, while promoting social welfare and social inclusion.
Ie that local entities have real ability to detect and suggest the best ways to create jobs and boost local development
