The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed the 'DIET' led operation to pursue alleged crimes against pets, which culminated in the discovery of various animals in a state of severe malnutrition and skeletal remains of other pets on a farm of Molina de Segura, so it has been attributed to its director on suspicion of felony on Protection of Domestic Animals.
Specialized nature protection (SEPRONA) Civil Guard have initiated research to knowledge, thanks to the cooperation of citizens, the existence of animals in poor nutrition on a farm in Molina de Segura.
SEPRONA agents located the farm and veterinary technicians in collaboration with the Department of Health of the City of Molina de Segura, checked in situ extreme thinness had animals, so they instructed the prosecution to charge responsible for the farm an alleged offense relating to the Protection of Domestic Animals, for animal abuse.
At the site were found two donkeys, three specimens of pigs, two goats and birds that had obvious signs of malnutrition.
Agents also found in the vicinity of the farm skeletal remains of other animals already dead.
All malnourished animals were transferred to the Centre for Zoonosis of Molina de Segura, for treatment and recovery.
