The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, accompanied by Councillor Municipal Cemetery, Victoria Gomez Alcazar, made a visit to the improvement works in the Cemetery Our Lady of Consolation Wednesday October 30.
The council has invested 233,000 euros this year in the urbanization of the last enlargement of the cemetery, and the installation of paving streets on three sides and three crossings.
The City Council has carried out the construction of the Garden of Remembrance, a new service that allows those citizens who wish to deposit in this space the polls with the ashes of cremated relatives.
The garden, located in the expansion of the cemetery, has an altar hollow, where they have built 54 urns to scatter the ashes, and a garden area.
Besides urbanization, expansion in this area has also been carried out special foundation 146 new plots.
Moreover, in the old part of the cemetery, we proceeded to the installation of street pavement on three sides and three crossings (a total of 2,353 square feet of pavers) and pits along the right side of the cemetery (about 300 square meters).
Moreover, as is traditional, the city of Molina de Segura has prepared a special device help citizens in the Municipal Cemetery on the occasion of the feast of All Saints, celebrated on Friday, November 1.
This device consists of Warehouse staff Municipal Civil Protection, Red Cross and local police in Molina de Segura, who ensure the smooth running of the day from 08.00 to 20.00.
To facilitate the access of citizens to the Municipal Cemetery Our Lady of Consolation, there will be the Eroski shopping center car parks and areas surrounding the cemetery, which has been empowered to do so.

Municipal Cemetery Molina de Segura has been subjected in recent years to a major expansion and currently has a total area of ​​65,527 m2.
In the past 10 years has invested about one million euros in three additions.
