The Commission on Information Society and New Technologies of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), of which he is Vice Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, held another meeting on Wednesday October 23 in Lleida.
At the meeting, which took place as part of the Fair MUNICIPALIA, treated topics in eGovernment and Telecommunications, as the proposed amendments to the FEMP has filed for reform of the General Telecommunications Law, which deadline ended on October 16.
It was also decided to submit in writing to the Secretary of State for Telecommunications, requesting plans mobile phone extension that gives 100% coverage of the population.
Another issue discussed was that of the new Law on Electronic Invoice and its implication for Spanish municipalities, who will have to adapt their systems to the integration of this invoice format, replacing the traditional paper bill.
Also discussed at the meeting other issues such as the development of a type of e-Government Ordinance, compliance by municipalities National Security Scheme under Law 11/2007, electronic access of citizens to the utilities, and Open Data projects being tackled by Spanish municipalities that have the momentum of the European Union.
