The Commission Reborn Huerta, convened by the Permanent Bureau of Local Agenda Local 21 (OPAL) was incorporated on Monday May 20, at the Plenary Hall of the City of Molina de Segura.
The inaugural meeting was attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, First Deputy Mayor, Worship Molina López, Councillor of the Natural Environment and Urban, Juana Carrillo Muñoz, President of the Neighborhood Association de la Huerta, Antonio Jimenez, and the Area Board President, Jose Antonio Cano Diaz.
Local Agenda 21, sustainable development program and municipal environmental policies of Molina de Segura, starts Redo Huerta commission in order to make a diagnosis of the local orchard by collecting all the necessary data, weaknesses, threats and strengths , and to treat the problem in the area and prepare an action plan to resolve it.
Some of the purposes for which the project has been raised are:
Recovery of local heritage.
Enhancing the wildlife recovery of the banks of the Segura river.
Recovery of degraded by pesticide use, and recovery of water quality in the canals.
Skilled green jobs by the start of production of the orchards.
Creating a network of footpaths, roads and bicycle paths for the enjoyment of the public.
Creating an entity tutorice project development and ensure the management and maintenance of the project.
