About 300 people gathered yesterday, Thursday March 14, in the public school Gregorio Miñano to pay posthumous tribute to Professor Jose Maria Salmeron, who died last January.
The event was chaired and presented by the center's director, Maria Martinez Aparicio.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Mayor, Adoration Molina Lopez, Councillor of Culture, Mariola Martinez Robles, and the Councillor for Social Welfare, Lola Vicente Quiles, who made a plaque commemorating his widow, Marie Antoinette Naranjo, and his son Jose Manuel Salmeron.
Many principals, teachers and fellow Salmeron were present at the ceremony accompanying the family.
Students described their teacher as a person close to them involved in their work and they saw, and professor, a great friend.
