In order to increase road safety in the municipality, the City of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Traffic and Safety, discounters are installing seconds in several traffic lights that regulate crosswalks.
The second discounter is opposite pedestrians whilst crossing the street, so that information transmitted to them how many seconds left for the red light to change to cross forbidden.
Following the study by the Department of Traffic, the action is being carried out at traffic light crossings along which a larger number of people and also giving priority to the places where school crossing as these younger people are considered more vulnerable to the risk of abuse.
Councilman Traffic and Public Safety, City Fortunato Arias believes that "these devices help improve road safety for schoolchildren and residents in general, this is one of the fundamental objectives of the City."
