The Department of Equality of the City of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Department of Sports, has organized the Championship V Métele a goal to violence and Encesta V Basketball Championship for Equality, which will take place on Saturday 24 November at 10.00 pm in the Municipal Sports The Romeral (at Avenida de Valencia).

At 1300 hours, will be held the awards ceremony, attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, Councillor for Equality, Reme Lopez Paredes, and the Councillor for Sports, Sonia Carrillo Marble.

This activity is framed in the Fourth Municipal Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men, on the occasion of the commemoration of November 25, International Day Against Violence Against Women.

Participating teams in the Football Championship V Métele a goal to violence are: Club Deportivo ISOL, San Miguel School Football, Football Club Soccer School Molina and Molina.

And the participating teams of male and female categories in the V Basketball Championship Encesta for Equality are: Basketball Club and City Molina Molina Basket.

The Councillor for Equality, Reme Lopez Paredes, expressed his "appreciation and thanks to all who work selflessly sports entities in conducting these activities. Likewise, I must stress the importance of youth involvement in any act of awareness on gender-based violence against women, which unfortunately still present in our society. "
