The Local Police of Molina de Segura, in coordination with the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT), held in the municipality a Special Campaign Control Motorcycles between 21 and 27 May.
The reason for this campaign is that the use of motorcycles has increased significantly in recent years, especially as an alternative to the automobile in urban travel, and the particular vulnerability of the motorcycle.
The campaign will focus on the following aspects: antirreglamentarios overtaking, no MOT, not wearing a helmet and speeding, major violations of motorists.
All with the objective of preventing accidents.
According to statistics from the DGT, in town there are 2 out of 3 motorcycle accidents.
Inappropriate behavior in driving usually serious outcomes and, consequently, to avoid this, the control must be intense and rigorous.
Public Safety Councilman of the City of Molina de Segura, Arias Fortunato City, explained that "in times of good weather further increases the use of motorcycle and never forget that a vehicle is especially vulnerable."
