Bringing science to society, so that all citizens know scientific advances occur much closer than you might think is the purpose of the Academic Dialogues II, organized by the Medical Research Foundation Molina (FEM) and presented at the Hospital de Molina.
Your moderator and President of the Academy of Sciences of the Region of Murcia, Dr. Pablo Artal Soriano said that "science helps human beings to evolve and is responsible for the progress of countries."
Therefore, it is necessary to "wake up careers in science among young people, and especially among women."
The focus of the Outreach Conference LXXVI of the FEM, to be held today at 19:30 at the College of Early Childhood Education Paseo Rosales, will focus on women in science.
It will involve scholars of the Academy of Sciences, Dr. Francisca Sevilla, Dr. Francisco Murillo, Dr. Alberto Requena, Dr. Juan María Vázquez and Dr. Angela Molina, who has shown that just as there are many women participating in scientific studies, there are very few who actually develop a scientific career throughout his life.
The causes, according to Dr. Molina, lie not in lack of capacity, but has to be found in society itself, predominantly in the XXI century ancestral life forms.
For its part, the President of the FEM, José Antonio Lozano Teruel, has claimed a genuine equality of opportunity, which allows the development of prestigious scientific careers based on the capabilities of each person.
