IU spokesman in the city of Molina de Segura, Chema Moreno, today urged the government team to promote organic farming in the county, and has announced it will present at the next plenary session, a package of measures to enhance this activity.
Moreno has said that the current economic context "the only way to be competitive agriculture in Murcia is the strengthening of organic farming and in this regard, he indicated that one of the measures they propose will be to create workshop employment focused on this area.
It has also considered necessary the preparation of a plan to promote this type of agriculture that promotes its environmental benefits and availability of these products in the canteens of public schools.
He has also advocated the creation of a line of support initiatives that address the cultivation, distribution and marketing of organic farming, and spaces where individual producers who market their products.
Similarly, will propose the development of a census of idle land put under cultivation of organic farming in order to promote this sector "sustainable" and create jobs.
