Advanced optical solutions for a better view, by Prof. Pablo Artal Soriano, Professor of Optics at the University of Murcia, Director of the Laboratory for Optics Research Center Nanophysics Optics and the University of Murcia and President of the Academy of Sciences Region of Murcia.
The conference is organized by the WEF, the city of Molina de Segura and the Hospital de Molina, sponsored by the Caixa.
The presentation was made by José Antonio Lozano Teruel, President of the WEF, and Josefina García Lozano, Secretary of the EMF.
Optics Laboratory of the Centre for Research in Optics and Nanophysics (TION), University of Murcia, directed by Pablo Artal Soriano has designed and fully developed the adaptive optics visual simulator, a system unique in the world that lets you know how and how we see and what improvements can be obtained after undergoing surgery or put certain lenses.
This is a sophisticated computer-controlled optical system that allows not only to identify the ability to view currently has one person, but can also advance the outcome of that eye would have an operation or application of any other therapy technique.
