The official reception ceremony the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, Saharawi children participating in the peaceful holiday program, sponsored by the Friends of the Saharawi people, took place on Wednesday 21 July, in the Plenary Hall of the City Council.
Each year, the Sahrawi children from refugee camps of Tindouf, spend the summer with host families molinense.
On this occasion, have come to Molina de Segura 18 children (four more than last year), between 8 and 12 years, which have been received by the Mayor and other members of the Municipal Corporation.
A large proportion of children have already participated in other editions of the program, like many families also repeat the experience of other years.
In the Region of Murcia have come this year a total of 180 children, 40 more than in 2009, being the only autonomous region which increases the number of children.
However, in Spain, this year 1,000 children are less than the previous year.
