The act of presentation of the collaboration agreement between the Molina de Segura City Council and the Association of Senior Citizens and Solidarity Intergenerational Solidarity to improve the care of dependents, disabled, elderly and families in rural areas has taken place today, Wednesday 21 March, in the municipality of Molinense.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the psychologist and representative in the Region of Murcia of Intergenerational Solidarity, Almudena Mondéjar Pérez, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, attended.
The main objective of the agreement is to develop a project aimed at promoting the quality of life and improving the social care of dependent persons, the disabled, the elderly and families living in rural areas, reducing inequalities in the supply of services with respect to to the urban environment
Through this agreement is intended to provide support and training to elderly and dependent, as well as families in rural areas that face situations of risk of exclusion, developing innovative social care resources of proximity, reporting and disseminating rights and resources for them destined.
For this, the association will develop informative, educational and advisory social activities in relation to social aids and benefits, aimed at the elderly, dependents, or people with disabilities and family caregivers.
The City Council will collaborate by providing municipal spaces where these activities can be developed.
The agreement is valid for one year, extendable for four more years, and does not involve any financial expense for the Molina de Segura Town Council.
