The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, make a visit to the workshop Seniors and Traditions, promoted by the Department of Social Welfare of the Molinense City Council, through the Unit for the Elderly, TODAY Wednesday, March 21, at 6:00 p.m., at the Social Center of the Barrio de San Roque (in Calle Mayor).
The workshop is part of the program of activities for the revitalization of senior centers for the months of March to December 2018, aimed at the elderly population of the municipality with the aim of improving the quality of life of older people through activities that encourage active aging.
Specifically, this workshop aims to: promote awareness of self-esteem and usefulness;
strengthen the maintenance of functional capacities, acting in the preventive field;
and favor the enjoyment of life through the development of skills.
It is aimed at members of the Senior Center of San Roque, who will participate in the development of traditional sweets.
Throughout the year, the Senior Unit promotes activities for the elderly group of Molina de Segura.
It is awakening a special interest the activities of traditional workshops like this one.
"We believe that with this type of actions we approach the objective of improving the quality of life of the elderly group, since we promote the self-esteem awareness and reinforce the maintenance of the functional capacities of the elderly, favoring the enjoyment of life through of the development of abilities ", explains the Councilor of Social Welfare.
