Vita Brevis (Murcia) presents the contemporary theater play PECADORAS, with text and direction by Joaquín Gómez, on Saturday, March 10, at 9:00 p.m., at the Villa de Molina Theater (at Avenida del Chorrico, n ° 10).
The price of admission is 10 euros.
With original music by Lila Downs, and performed by María Heredia, Iris Gutiérrez, Irene Luna and Andrea Martínez, Pecadoras offers a tribute to the female figure through four mythological characters: Medea, Fedra, Hécuba and her daughter Políxena, who have been transported to the present.
Women abducted, subjected, murdered and murdered, subjected and deprived of dignity under the power, control and whims of a patriarchal society.
Some women who now take shape in an experimental proposal, high symbolism and multiple ingredients.
Women who remain close to the myth but who tell us about experiences that have not changed over the centuries, women mothers, caregivers, wives, lovers, life-giving women, slaves, submissives, daughters, sisters, etc., women who fight for their dignity and their rights, but who end up being subjected by a society that treats them as mere usable and expendable objects.
