The Minister of Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, visited today the Association of people with physical disabilities of Molina de Segura and Vega Media (Dismo) on the occasion of their celebration of the chestnut.
The entity has operating authorization for a new day center for people with intellectual disabilities of 20 places.
Of these places, the Ministry, through the IMAS, will arrange five as of December 1, according to the counselor Violante Tomás during his visit.
The Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities allocates more than 135,000 euros to Dismo for the care of children with problems in their development (29,706 euros) and for people with physical disabilities (105,334 euros).
The Dismo Day Center has 10 places for adults and its Early Care Center offers 19 places for minors in the municipality.
The users of the early care center are children with therapeutic needs, transient or permanent, caused by limitations, alterations in development or at risk of suffering it.
They can also benefit from the services provided by their family members, who are offered guidance, training and the necessary support to adequately address the child's family and social situation.
The users of this center, accompanied by their instructors, enjoyed a morning of playful activities in which the main theme was how chestnuts were traditionally roasted, a characteristic fruit of the autumn season.
