The rider of Movistar Team, José Joaquín Rojas, has been operated at the Molina Hospital for an extraction of osteosynthesis material (EMO).
The operation, performed by the Sports Traumatologist Dr. Francisco Esparza Ros and the Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Juan Francisco Abellán, has consisted in extracting the intramedullary nail placed in tibia in September last year in the hospital, due to the fracture of tibia and fibula suffered after his fall in the Vuelta Ciclista to Spain 2016.
The surgery has been a success and has been programmed taking advantage of the rest of the ciezano, with the aim of being able to compete to the maximum level in the next season.
