The act of signing the agreement of collaboration between the City of Molina de Segura and the Association Do not deprive for the realization of activities to raise awareness against LGBTophobia and socio-educational activities on sexual and gender-based affective diversity took place today Thursday, October 5, in the town hall.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the President of the Association No te prives, Jesús Costa Gómez, and the First Lieutenant of Mayor and Councilor for Youth, Fernando Miñana Hurtado, attended the event.
With the signing of this agreement, which includes a municipal grant of 2,500 euros, it aims to promote values, identifying diversity, rejecting discrimination and providing elements to identify and reject situations of marginalization, discrimination and injustice.
The City Council of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Youth, seeks to carry out socio-educational activities that affect the sexual affective diversity in young people.
Numerous studies have detected the lack of support for the LGBTI collective of young people in schools, which highlights the vulnerability of youth with frequent cases of bullying and highlights the need to work on values ​​that fight against LGBTophobia, that does not normalize.
From the Council of Youth of the City Council intends to establish educational activities with students in secondary schools in the municipality, working on the detection of homophobic attitudes to prevent negative situations and aggressions that can create.
