The act of signing a collaboration agreement between the City of Molina de Segura and the Molina de Segura Immigration Platform for the Office of Integral Attention to Immigrants project took place today Thursday, October 5, in the municipality of Molina.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the President of the Molina de Segura Immigration Platform, Irene Torregrosa Rodríguez, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, attended the event.
The agreement provides for a municipal subsidy for a total amount of 25,000 euros for this year 2017, and has among its objectives:
Provide a support service for the social integration of the resident immigrant community in the municipality through the Office of Immigrant Care and a Mediator-Translator Service.
To support the Center of Municipal Social Services in the services and activities of the different programs, especially attention to the differences of languages.
Address and reduce possible intercultural conflicts in the municipality.
The Immigration Platform of Molina de Segura undertakes to carry out the following actions:
Service of an interpreter-translator with training in family, school and neighborhood mediation.
Attention and accompaniment to the immigrants in the administrative procedures or administrations.
Interpretation of documents for those immigrants, with special attention to the Arab population, with zero or low level of Castilian.
Translation of printed matter, pamphlets and any information or dissemination documents of special interest to the foreign community (Arabic, French and other African language).
Literacy Workshop for Immigrants.
Workshop on Labor Orientation.
Workshop on Female Sexuality.
Celebration of holidays, Immigrant Day, etc.
The Office of Immigrant Care is located at Avenida de Madrid, n ° 68 in Molina de Segura, next to the Integral Center Ceramics.
For the development of its activities, it has a translator / interpreter, with knowledge of French, Arabic and other African languages ​​and training in intercultural mediation, as well as volunteers of the entity.
