Art-Efímera (Murcia) presents the absurd contemporary play EL TRICICLO, by Fernando Arrabal, and directed by Gelen Marín, on Thursday, May 11, at 9:00 p.m., in the DOS Room of the Villa de Molina Theater (Avenida del Chorrico, No. 10).
The entrance fee is 10 euros.
The Tricycle is one of the first texts of Fernando Arrabal and was released in 1953. Today, more than half a century later, the work surprises by its contemporaneity, has gained weight and is easy to recognize us in the passions, the yearnings, the fears and the Dreams of its characters, for its timeless and universal value.
The apparent simplicity of the story contrasts with the eccentric of its characters and their surroundings.
We are thus presented with uprooted subjects of infantile discourse but dark behavior.
The innocence of his words contrasts with the crudeness of his actions and the dread of his decisions.
In this way, the work invites us to question the double moral: what we say we are and what we are, what we have and what we want to have, what we want and who we want ... The interpreters are Antonio Chumillas, Irene Luna, Jesús Lorenzo and Luis Ferrer.
