Molina de Segura City Council participates as a guest in the Holistic Personal public Eco-Mobility (HoPE) EC Project Consortium in Brussels, a European consortium involving scientists, public transport and mobility companies, as well as public administrations for the Exchange of ideas, experiences and future projects in the area of mobility.
On the afternoon of Tuesday 9th May, a technician from the Molina de Segura City Council participated in the Consortium's day (Molina de Segura City Council "Latest development in Molina de Segura").
HoPE, of a technical nature, focuses on multimodal route planners (car, bicycle, public transport, etc.) and integrated rate managers, offering a great opportunity to know the innovative solutions in public transport and is conceived as a Network where cities can interact with transport operators and share their needs.
The City Council of Molina de Segura already participated in November 2015 in the sixth meeting of the HoPE Consortium in Karlsruhe (Germany) and in the international launching workshop.
Local actors, transport operators, universities and companies participated in the exchange of information, ideas and experiences in the field of multimodal route planning and integrated tariff management.
This is an opportunity to find partners in European projects related to mobility or participate as a pilot city of other Spanish partners of the project, as happened with the Project Bicities, Affordable solutions to promote sustainable transport in cities, whose coordinator was the entity Spanish Planet Media, within the framework of the H2020 program and whose main proposal was the promotion of the use of cycling in the city and its connection with the public transport system.
