The Board of Governors of the City of Molina de Segura has approved, on Tuesday 2 May, the 2017 call for grants of 48 euros as social support support against expenses for housing ownership, which may benefit pensioners (over 65 and widowed) and long-term unemployed, according to the Councilor for Social Welfare, Angel Navarro García.
The agreement provides for a grant of 48 euros per beneficiary and family unit.
The budget heading for this purpose includes a maximum expenditure of 70,000 euros.
During the last year 2016, the City of Molina de Segura approved a total of 1,147 applications, which meant 55,056 euros to cover expenses derived from home ownership.
These subsidies, which have been carried out since 2006, are covered by municipal ordinances, and can benefit from them pensioners (over 65 and widowhood), and long-term unemployed, who meet a number of requirements.
According to the Councilor for Social Welfare, "these groups, in most cases, require special protection and financial assistance to meet the expenses they must bear."
