Julia R. Robles (Vigo, 1969), works as a graphic designer in Santo Ángel, where she lives, but her intense literary activity has kept her closely linked to Molina de Segura.
He has obtained numerous prizes of story and published three books of the sort: the beautiful ones should die (Editorial Three Fronteras, 2009), Strange women of blue (XIV Prize Book Illustrated Delegation of Badajoz) and The naked mirror (Editions Glauco, 2013).
His first novel, Mentula, recounts the misadventures of Martina, a woman who one day turns magically into a transsexual.
From that moment, her attempts to adapt to that transformation will drag her into a succession of bizarre, surrealistic situations.
Mentula is a contemporary narrative in humor that hides, in a fresh and simple language, a denunciation against gender discrimination in all its forms.
