RAY LORIGA (Madrid, 1967)
Jorge Loriga Torrenova, better known as Ray Loriga, is one of the main exponents of the so-called Generation X in our country.
His first novel, Worst of All, launched him to fame and grew a very succulent list of young literary talents.
Shortly after would come Heroes, inspired by rock and whose title comes from a disc of David Bowie.
This work aesthetically approached the Beat Generation, especially to authors like Carver, Kerouac and Bukowski.
Closely related to cinema, he made his directorial debut in 1997 with La pistola del hermano, adapted from his novel Caídos del cielo, having also been a scriptwriter on several occasions.
With more than ten books published, he recently made his foray into the youth novel with El bebedor de lágrimas (2011).
Luis Leante and Ignacio Martínez de Pisón are the next two invited to Writers in their ink 2017.
