Focus Group and the National Drama Center present the play THE AUTHOR OF THE GIRLS, by Ernesto Caballero, starring Carmen Carmen Machi, on Friday, March 31, at 9 pm at the Teatro Villa de Molina (at Avenida del Chorrico , No. 10).
The ticket price is 20 euros.
The Author of the Girls is a dystopian comedy in which, with corrosive humor, they address issues such as the growing abandonment by society of any interest for any artistic or humanistic discipline.
The nonsense of an activity in unproductive principle is finally assumed without modesty and with enthusiasm for the discourse of new self-proclaimed political formations of the left and progress, now in power.
Not only is there disdain, as in actual reality, but an open questioning of work and an expense that is clearly superfluous from a new conception of social welfare.
The work also exposes, in a satirical way, the egotistical absorption of much of the most avant-garde and committed creation of the last years, as well as the trivialization of the artistic experience turned into a multitudinous media event in tune with the great theme parks of entertainment of masses.
