Molina de Segura City Hall celebrates World Water Day with the organization of two new environmental activities at the Information and Visitors Center of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar on Sunday, March 19.
At 10.30 hours an ecological route will be conducted guided by the wetlands of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar, a protected area worldwide (RAMSAR) and European (SPA).
These are five lagoons that contain purified wastewater, serving as a reservoir for agriculture, as well as habitat for many species of wild birds, especially aquatic.
In the tour visitors will be shown the importance that water has on the biodiversity of this natural space, as well as the need to save water and to conserve it, with good gestures not to contaminate it.
In addition, visitors will learn the peculiarities of the fauna, flora and landscape typical of the Lagoons and telescope and binoculars observations of the waterfowl that visit it.
After the route, at 12.15 a water workshop will be built. Construct a sewage plant.
A workshop with which we celebrate World Water Day and with which the little ones will know the importance of purifying it and the problems that entails the contamination of this essential element for life.
Finally, an explanatory visit will be made to the Information and Visitors Center of Las Lagunas, with the help of informative panels, illuminated murals on the fauna and flora of the salt marsh vegetation, which will contribute to a better knowledge of this space Natural and rich biodiversity.
