The Department of Environment of Molina de Segura has opened the pre-registration process in a pilot program of domestic self-compounding, promoted by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment of the Region of Murcia, whose convocation will be attended by the municipality of Molina.

In this pilot proposal of domestic self-composting we propose the implementation of an alternative management model of the organic fraction with the obtaining of a compost in the domicile and the application in the own garden or private orchard.

They can participate in this initiative neighbors Molina de Segura who have in their plot of housing and garden or garden and are interested in this alternative model of management of organic waste generated in their own home.

Participants will be provided with a domestic composting machine, various composting materials (bucket, spade, sprinkler, scissors, thermometer, aerator and gloves), a consultation guide and technical advice for the preparation and application of compost.

"Knowing the interest of the neighbors and neighbors of our municipality will allow the City Council to request the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and the Environment the aids planned for its development," explains the Councilor for the Environment, Carbonell Capel Purification.

These aids are part of the waste recovery and recovery measures included in the Waste Plan of the Region of Murcia 2016-20 and are financed, among other sources, through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) .

This project has the collaboration of the General Directorate of Quality and Environmental Assessment and the General Subdirectorate of Environmental Assessment of the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment.

The pre-registration period will be open during the month of February 2017. It is necessary to download the pre-registration form and send it by one of the following means: ordinary mail or direct delivery in the Department of Environment (Avda. De Madrid, n ° 3, Mezzanine, door 7);
