The Department of Consumer Affairs of the City of Molina de Segura has launched a new Mediation Service to deal with claims related to soil clauses.
According to the Councilor for Consumer Affairs, Esther Sánchez Rodríguez, "we do it from the OMIC due to the need to process all claims with banks before three months."
This is a free service launched by the municipality of Molina de Segura in order that the citizens of Molina de Segura can process through the extrajudicial way the claim of cash collected by the land clauses.
The required documentation is: copy of the mortgage loan deed;
Mortgage receipt;
And fill out an application, which will be available on the municipal website (www.molinadesegura.es) and in the OMIC itself.
It is not necessary to make an appointment for the procedure.
The schedule of this service is from Monday to Thursday from 09.00 to 14.00 hours.
The EU High Court of Justice, in its ruling of December 21, 2016, has given consumers reason, so banks must repay the land clauses, which the court has defined as abusive .
Based on the ruling, on Friday January 20, the Government of Spain approved the Royal Decree establishing an extrajudicial procedure so that consumers can recover their money.
