The Council of Consumption of the City of Molina de Segura has organized a talk on land clauses in mortgages, which will take place on Wednesday, January 25, at 7.30 pm, in the auditorium of the School of Infantile Education of Paseo Rosales.
The talk will be attended by the Councilor for Consumer Affairs, Esther Sánchez Rodríguez, the OMIC Technician, Jesús Montoya Oribe, the OMIC counsel, Simón Tudela Sánchez, and a representative of the bank.
The EU High Court of Justice, in its ruling of December 21, 2016, has given consumers reason, so banks must repay the land clauses, which the court has defined as abusive .
Based on the ruling, last Friday January 20, the Government of Spain has approved the Royal Decree establishing an extrajudicial procedure to allow consumers to recover their money.
From the OMIC in Molina de Segura, a free advice service is offered to consumers so that they can defend their rights in the agreement that must be signed with the bank.
According to the Councilor for Consumer Affairs, "an extrajudicial action protocol has been established in which the consumer must reach an agreement with the bank. Before signing any document that compromises the consumer, it is preferable to consult and advise. Made available to that service ".
