The Hospital de Molina expands its service portfolio with the launch of its new NeuroRehabilitation Service, in collaboration with Clínica UNER, directed by Dr. Mª Jesús Gómez López.
It is a Service specialized exclusively in the evaluation and rehabilitation of patients with brain damage.
Its intervention is directed especially to those people, both adults and children, who present brain damage caused by any of the following causes, congenital or acquired:
Cranioencephalic trauma (TBI) caused by traffic or work-related accidents.
Stroke (stroke) from bleeding or stroke.
Brain tumors.
Other: hydrocephalus, dementias, malformations of the nervous system, epilepsy, etc.
Dr. Mª Jesús Gómez emphasizes the proximity of the Service to the families of the patients: "Families enter into the treatment, that is, they are informed at all times so that they can also do so with their affected relatives when they are at home. In the Hospital de Molina we have neurorehabilitator treatment both in admission and outpatient type ".
The Clinical Neuro Rehabilitation Service of the Hospital de Molina is composed of a multidisciplinary team - made up of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychopedagogues and neuropsychologists - who cares about the person affected and their families.
