The test will start at 08.00 hours, with departure and finish in Molina de Segura, and will tour the most emblematic places of Molina de Segura, Ceutí, Lorquí, Alguazas and Las Torres de Cotillas

The MARATHON AND MEDIUM MARATHON VEGA MEDIA will be played on Sunday, March 26, 2017, starting at 08.00 hours, by the municipalities of Molina de Segura, Ceutí, Lorquí, Alguazas and Las Torres de Cotillas, with exit and finish in Molina Of Segura, organized by the five municipalities of Vega Media, in collaboration with the Hospital de Molina, and the Association of Sportsmen of Molina de Segura.

The beneficiary of this sporting event will be the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), through the local boards of the region.

The activity was presented at a press conference, on Wednesday, December 14, in the Plenary Hall of the city of Molina, by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the Mayor of Ceutí, Juan Felipe Cano Martínez, the Mayor of Alguazas, Blas Ángel Ruipérez Peñalver, First Deputy Mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Ángel González Palazón, Lorquí Sports Councilor, Francisco García Gómez, and the President of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia (FAMU) Juan Manuel Molina Morote.

The organizers, the five municipalities of Vega Media, have reached an agreement, which has been signed today, to ensure the continuity of this event over the next five years.

In the first edition, Molina de Segura will host the exit and goal of the test, and in future editions will vary the site.

On that day, the following tests will be held:

Marathon (42K).

Half Marathon (22K).

Local tests aimed at children.

The test will cover the five municipalities of Vega Media, alternating natural spaces (Segura River corridor) and urban.

The route is designed to highlight the cultural, tourist and ecological values ​​of this region, highlighting the most emblematic places of each of the municipalities concerned.
