| The initiative of the Department of Equality and Gender Violence is part of the XVII Program of Prevention of Gender Violence 2020 | The Department of Equality and Gender Violence of the Molina de Segura City Council, in commemoration of November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and following the activities programmed in the XVII Program for the Prevention of Gender Violence de Molina de Segura 2020, today Monday, November 23, has delivered 1,000 reusable hygienic masks to 13 educational centers in the municipality for distribution to 4th year ESO students. The design of these masks, with the message In Molina de Segura we do not tolerate sexist violence, is designed with a double objective: to facilitate compliance with the mandatory use of the mask among young people; and, in turn, contribute to spreading the rejection of sexist violence.
Educational centers are vital when it comes to spreading and transmitting awareness messages.
These masks are financed by the Ministry of Equality, through the Secretary of State for Equality and Against Gender Violence, within the 2020 awareness campaign against Gender Violence. "Gender violence indicates the Councilor for Gender Equality and Violence, María Montserrat Montanos Villegas- it is a social scourge and the public powers must recognize their responsibility and get involved in the prevention and eradication of sexist violence, avoiding the violation of rights fundamentals of women ".
Montanos attended this morning the delivery of masks to the IES Cañada de las Eras, where it was received by its director, José Sampedro.
