The Molina Hospital joins the pink and on the occasion of the World Day against Breast Cancer, which is celebrated today, Monday October 19, and in collaboration with the Local Board of the AECC of Molina de Segura, a big pink bow.
The objective of this initiative is to make the public aware of the importance of early diagnosis. Breast cancer is one of the few diseases that can be diagnosed before any symptoms are noticed.
The chances of cure that are detected in its initial stage are practically 100%.
Through mammography screening programs, breast tumors can be diagnosed in early stages where there is a tremendous chance of a cure. It is generally recommended to perform regular mammograms from the age of 45-50 years.
Periodic self-examination and regular gynecological consultations are important as early detection factors, and if in doubt, consult with the family doctor. The Deputy Manager of the Hospital de Molina, Francisco Menchón Galiana, recalls the continuous collaboration of the Hospital de Molina with the AECC "maintaining a constant work of awareness aimed especially at women, and also at men because men can also suffer from this disease - , so that they adopt preventive measures that avoid the appearance of breast cancer ". For yet another year, Hospital de Molina joins the commitment to fight breast cancer.
