| The action has involved an investment of 16,093 euros and is 80% co-financed by the European Development Fund Regional (ERDF) | Last March the contract for the implementation of the FIWARE platform began, a project framed in the line of action Improvement of urban public services through electronic administration and Smart City of EDUSI Molina 2020 Avanza Contigo, co-financed 80% by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). This project aims to implement the FIWARE platform in the Molina de Segura City Council, promoted by the European Union, for the development and global deployment of Internet applications of the future, using contextual information that can be incorporated from different sources , such as end users, sensor networks, mobile applications and all kinds of information systems, open data sources and social networks. The Internet of things is a reality in today's society and the Molina de Segura City Council intends to be part of this reality, taking advantage of the emerging changes that information and communication technologies are incorporating in the form of platforms that collect and process data from various sources, in open and free formats, to be made available to the City Council itself, as well as to the public and to all types of groups and companies.
