| Through the proposals that the center's information service will provide, visitors will be able to discover in their tour of the wetland the environmental values ??that house these environments so characteristic of the natural environment of Moline | The Visitor Information and Reception Center of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar, in Molina de Segura, opens again to the public on Sunday, September 20.
On this occasion, and due to the security measures against COVID-19, the center will offer information and materials so that all those who visit it can make the path that runs through the Lagoons without a guide, know the interesting Saladar that surrounds this natural space of international importance and discover the natural and cultural values ??of these landscapes formed by salt marshes. To do this, attendees will be provided with specific information that they can consult while they make the tour, about the elements that make up these environments: characteristics of the salt marsh, origin of this type of landscape, type of vegetation that it presents and its main characteristics, and species animals that inhabit these spaces. The salt marshes are a very abundant type of continental wetland in the Region of Murcia.
They have the presence of very characteristic and extremely important plant communities, such as evergreens and soap plants.
Furthermore, the occasional presence of sheets of water in some of these landscapes allows the presence of animal species, both vertebrates and invertebrates, some of which have protection figures. With this proposal, the Department of the Environment of the Molina de Segura City Council wants to publicize these landscapes so characteristic of the municipality, so that everyone participates in the initiatives aimed at their conservation and improvement.
