The Molina de Segura City Council, at the proposal of the Department of Gender Equality and Violence, joins the #SiLaOyesLlama campaign, promoted by the General Directorate for Women and Gender Diversity of the Region of Murcia, with which it aims to support to women who are victims of mistreatment, and who are confined with their abuser, as reported, today Tuesday April 14, the Councilor for Equality and Gender Violence, Montserrat Montanos Villegas.
This campaign emphasizes the important work that the neighbors have when it comes to calling the emergency services at the slightest indication of a situation of gender violence in nearby homes.
"Now more than ever, she needs you and you can save her life by calling the emergency services, don't hesitate ... IF YOU HEAR HER CALL!" Is the message of this campaign.
The Councilor for Equality, Montserrat Montanos, has indicated that "we are going through an emergency situation in which abused women are confined to the abuser. There are many days of isolation and the outbreaks of aggressiveness continue to occur unfortunately; we have continuous complaints of Domestic violence This campaign asks for the collaboration of neighbors so that, when they hear these situations, with cries for help, fights, or any indication that an aggression is taking place, they denounce quickly.
